Study on preparation and properties of PVDF/CB composite films

Abstract Carbon black was often used as a UV stabilizer, due to its ability absorb high-energy ultraviolet radiation. In this study, carbon added PVDF resin, and film with (PVDF/CB composite film) fabricated using precision co-extrusion casting mechanism. The properties of the films were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), field emission electron microscope (FESEM), water contact angle (WCA), universal material testing machine. Furthermore, DSC results suggested that melting temperature (T m ) PVDF/CB 168.7°C. TGA showed initial decomposition d 358.9°C. FESEM observation surface smooth without obvious defects. WCA indicated had good hydrophobicity. addition, transmittance presented higher aging resistance than film.
